      Salaries are low, daily tasks are menial, overstaffed, and communication is non existent...A place for steady eddie's

      Pros

      A place where you preform the same daily taks with very minimal variation and salaries are an industry low...by far. Good place to get your feet wet and put on your resume.

      Cons

      The day's drag by due to overstaffed FA's. Less FA's would give employees work to do throughout the day, and an increase in pay would help retain talent.

      State Street is a top corporation that is recognized internationally. If you are coming in the business entry-level there are more than enough opportunities for advancement if one is willing to put in the time and effort.

      With the company being so large, it is easy to feel like a number or a name-less face in the crowd.

      Pros

      You get some experience working with a variety of securities, especially equities, fixed income, and derivatives, most of the people are fun to work with, opportunity for flex scheduling, depending on your business unit, that is if you work an additional 45 minutes every day for the fiscal year, you can get a day off every two weeks.

      Cons

      The compensation is low by industry standards, resulting in higher employee turnover rates. Sometimes there is a lot of pressure to ensure that deadlines are met. There can be times that you may have to work longer hours.
