Pros

The company has a good work life balance for its employees. The hours are reasonable so that you can complete your work.

Cons

You can only learn so many funds until get bored. There are no opportunities to advance within the company. Upper management is hush-hush about what is going on within the company and its direction. Whenever they have meetings, nothing gets accomplished.

Pros

Big, well-established company, which probably looks good on a resume. Company seems to be doing OK in terms of weathering the current economy.

Cons

Lots of politics. Too many incompetent middle-managers. Little-to-no opportunities for lateral movement, or advancement, despite the effort that management puts into making it seem like job mobility is a reality.

Pros

State Street has an excellent reputation within the financial services industry. The name will be recognized on your resume. Provides good training and financial analysis experience.

Cons

Pay is very low compared to similar positions in the industry. The room for growth seems on the slower side. Raises are not given after 1 year of employment. Small bonuses
