      Pros

      State Street is a large Corporation which provides a wide array of opportunities and great benefits. The best aspect of the company is the opportunity for internal movement and growth which allows for learning different skill sets and exposure to the Financial Services Industry. I also enjoy the networking with other employees and the feedback that management provides in your career path.

      Cons

      The one major Con of working at State Street is definitely the Salary. State Street puts a great deal of resources into there systems and technology and while doing this pay there employees less than other companies for the same job.

      Pros

      Only 1: it's a well-established name in the financial sector, so it can look great on your resume if you know how to play your cards right.

      Cons

      Managers are extremely weak and lack the experience, skills, and knowledge to manage effectively. Poor company culture, poor morale, and poor work force because all the talented people leave after about 2 years. All the managers and consultants are analyts who stay because they are not good enough to find better jobs.

      Pros

      Easy career mobility within the company. If you are willing to spend the time and effort then there are opportunities that are available. There are many different areas within State Street that allow for huge variations from job to job. I have held 3 different positions within the company and have been able to learn about a different area in each one.

      Cons

      Very operations oriented which means the work is boring and repetitive. The starting slaries are too low. Most of the work should be either automated or moved overseas which means that there is going to be some downsizing at the entry level in the near future.
