      Pros

      Excellent opportunity to gain experience in different areas. Company promotes from within mainly.

      Cons

      Sometimes people are promoted that are not up to the job. Positions are ear marked for people but the company insists to go through the whole recruitment process just to dissappoint people. Salaries are way lower than market average. Not by a couple of K either, we're talking 20-30% below.

      Pros

      Good company that focuses on culture and inclusivity. Average leadership development, but good communication paths with senior executives. Large market share in their areas of focus.

      Cons

      Large company - 1/2 of growth is through acquisition so often there is confusion & lack of coordination between groups. Moderately innovative, and has challenges in meeting goals and aligning teams. Slow to take corrective action. Some decent opportunity for movement within the organization but little mentoring / development of leaders for other positions.

      Reasonable, but didn't understand the businesses they were buying

      Pros

      The teams and departments within the wider group all seem relatively friendly, and try their best to understand each area of the business.

      Cons

      The company I worked for was bought by the SRCL Group who's strategy is growth through aquisition. We had no link to the Medical environment what-so-ever, and were purchased for the potential use of our systems. The employees of the companies being bought up need to be aware of the job market and maybe take advantage of it.
