Pros

The people are friendly, good parking area, room for advancement, brand name company, co-workers try to help you out. Profit Sharing!!

Cons

Not enough training. The instructor goes thru the information to fast!! I think it should be more than 2 weeks in the class room before going to Pod. If you are comfortable and knowledgeable about the training you would feel more comfortable going out on the floor. Make training at least 3 weeks in a classroom setting before going to Pod. Remember trainers that not everyone has sold this product before be more mindful!!! A knowledge Sales Rep makes a Profitable Sales Rep!

Pros

Meh. The building and location are cool and stuff. Right off the highway. Huge company with tons of room for growth, but

Cons

Your supervisor will either be your best friend or your biggest hurdle. As well as upper management. At least on the phone team. The turn around is high because employees don't feel valued. Management will go out of their way to spend money on shirts, gadgets and cups with the company name and logo on it to give to employees, but instead of spending money on that why not give it to your employees in the form of a raise to keep them happy? They preach one team one goal, but when you ask them questions about why things are the way they are, they smile and acknowledge you asked a question but don't give you any answer and blow smoke up you butt about how valuable you are. I hope this gets some robot reply from Stericycle saying something to the effect of "we value your opinion and want to know more about what we can do". What you can do is completely restructure how the customer service phone team is operated because it is frustrating. Saying you appreciate what we do doesn't mean jack. Show us you appreciate us. Actions speak louder than empty words do. I don't want a charger that breaks after two uses. I don't want a shirt that only comes in XXL that was for some stupid company event. I want money. Apply the money you spent on getting that towards the department and increase the hourly rate or bonus payout. Metrics that are leaps and bounds better than the current values only get paid out at bonus rate of 1.5%?!?! Why not 5%?

Pros

A lot of autonomy. You are mobile going from one location to the next, no real managerial oversight breathing down your neck. You start and finish your day according to the appointments, meetings, inspections, you chose to do. Overall I'd say it's a decent company. But their local management is seriously flawed.

Cons

Pay is terribly low and well below the market average. Management simply is horrible. There are a few managers who really strive to help and bring out the best in their teams, but the ones on the East coast, especially within the Jersey area, simply are bad. Stericycle has a very bad /negative reputation within the healthcare /medical waste community. Many of their existing as well as former customers "ALL" complain about the same thing: Stericycle routinely cheats customers by over-charging and lies about / neglects to fulfill their contract service agreements.
