Interesting projects, mediocre management

Pros

Projects can be interesting and you can learn a lot, a lot of opportunities to do things and take initiative.

Cons

Some managers are not technical at all and a lot of times useless. No bonuses and upper management is very secretive about salaries. Bad PTO plan.

Pros

Lots of friendly youthful people. Catered lunch daily, snack bar, drinks, quality catered lunch on special occasions. Great culture and good engineering practices if this is your first job.

Cons

It's a consulting company so your value is being extracted to line the business' pockets. Depending on what you are doing there is no reliable senior engineers to look up to. High turn over for skilled developers. They do their time and get a nice bump somewhere else. What you get out of it will largely depend on the product you will be working on. Very few senior staff.

Pros

This is by far, the best company I have ever worked for. Management truly cares for their employees and the work is varied, interesting, and meaningful. The culture at the company is fun and inclusive. Dan goes out of his way to to make sure employees know they are appreciated. Whether it's the annual summer BBQ with fun, competitive events, the company holiday party, or even monthly birthday cake--it's the little things! When you approach management they actually listen to you. There's some flexibility with your working hours . There are great opportunities for growth and mentorship within the company. The company is growing and a great place to further your career.

Cons

I can't think of anything negative.
