Pros

Weekly lunches, happy hours, stocked kitchen, one work from home day. Some flexibility in where you work around the office.

Cons

"Feedback culture" is used as a crutch to tell someone things you don't like about them. They make constant promises that they care about your future but they only do if you are well liked by management. Their idea of culture is oppressive and unrealistic. They are such a yes company that they are ok with customers walking all over their employees

Pros

Free Snacks & Drinks Free Parking Free Catered Meals 1-2x a Week Free Laptops Great downtown location. Great hours. Great holiday pay.

Cons

Hostile work environment due to hiring too many new people without offering current employees raises. People are fired without real reason. For instance, two days after a team meeting, during which our head of operations received negative comments regarding her presence--she was an outsider hired for the position--an email went out saying it was going to be her last day. She had only been there for three months. This kind of abrupt end of employment (there have been others, including three from my training group) leaves us all wondering if we will have our jobs tomorrow. No raises. Ever.

Pros

Working from home is flexible, they never require you to leave the house or attend work events. As long as you do good, consistent work, you're not really bothered by management. My leads, aka supervisors, have always been kind, understanding, and easy to work with.

Cons

Inventory can be bad, you have to style around when inventory comes in which can be unpredictable. Clients blame stylists for bad choices yet we have no control over what clothes are offered in inventory, and you're not allowed to mention this to clients. All the clothing in marketing/social media is never in the inventory, yet this is what is advertised to clients so these are the styles they expect/are looking for. Can also be stressful to meet the requirement to style certain amount of clients an hour, sometimes you need more time. No career advancement/raises unless you want to be a lead, which is full-time only and requires trips to the office.
