Has gone way down hill

Pros

-Make your own schedule -Don't have to do anything in person -Work from home -Other stylists really care about the clients

Cons

- Nowhere to go after your 1 year promotion except a lead position which are very difficult to get, no raises for tenure, no bonuses, nothing to keep you - Reduced our PTO sick time accrual - Inventory has been HORRIBLE for the past 6+ months with no signs of improving - Kept to a very high metric standard even when we are not given the proper tools to complete the job -Pay does not change whether you are part time or full time or how long you've been with the company. You could have exceptional metrics with 3+ years at the company and make the same as someone who has worked here for 1 month and is in the red for their metrics - Management always says "we hear you" but never does anything about it. There is a very large disconnect between upper management and the stylists. We have been begging and begging for months for a better inventory situation and nothing has happened. They continue to hire new stylists without fixing the problem.

Losing The Creativity

Pros

Work from home; flexibility in schedule; pretty good discount on clothing, but with as little as we are paid, it's not worth it I've been working with SF for over a year now, and I truly enjoy styling; however, they've started taking the creativity out of the process for the "marriage of arts & science."

Cons

They constantly implement changes all at once and expect us to keep our metrics fabulous at the same time and to be enthusiastic about our creativity being taken away in favor of speeding up how many Fixes we can pump out. It's obvious these changes are not being made for the stylists (or even the clients, to be honest) even though they try so hard to make it appear that way. If anyone provides constructive feedback, they become agitated and either silence you or say you're going against the company's "positive" culture. In general, the company culture is really fake, and we don't feel heard. Pay is minimal. I really need to keep this job since I'm currently in graduate school, but I'm not sure if these changes will allow that. None of the leads or "higher-ups" seem to have a distinct personality. They are literally all the same and have the same responses for everything.

It has gotten so much worse

Pros

Discount, flexibility, and benefits for full-time employees.

Cons

Super limited inventory now even further limited by the algorithm, inability to meet client requests, constant pressure to perform at an unrealistic rates, poor communication with Stylists, sweeping changes announced with no regard for the impact on employees, salaried employees get UNLIMITED PTO while hourly employees are limited to very little time off. Little rewards or benefits for tenure.
