Pros

-Helping women feel great about themselves, developing connections with clients -Employee discount on merch -Flexible schedule, work from home in jammies -Cool company, fun to be part of something new in industry

Cons

-I was a stylist for two years and inventory was always an issue. Pressure from above to style quickly (four clients per hour) and achieve certain metrics felt impossible at times. I sent out many Fixes that I knew my clients wouldn't love simply because I HAD to meet my quotas, yet inventory was lacking. -Trying to take time off was tough because my Lead never wanted me away from my styling queue for more than two days in a row. So, for two years, I didn't really have consecutive days off, which wore me out. -Work gets boring after a while. Only so many ways to tell a client how to pair certain pieces together. Lack of human interaction gets to you... -I had great metrics (made money for company) yet wasn't given any incentives, bonuses, etc. Just chastised for not styling quickly enough. Part of the reason my clients loved me was because I took the time to thoroughly study their Fix histories, look at the request notes and Pinterest boards, and write thoughtful notes--that often took more than the 15 minutes per client I was "allowed." Setting a timer for each Fix just stressed me out and took away any joy I felt about the job itself.
