Pros

A “job, job” that just barely pays the bills in a city like Austin. Work here if you like a mundane, repetitive job with incompetent + childish management that feels somewhat like a sorority. Feel like you’re in college all over again! The only positive I can come up with is how accepting this office is in regards to the LGBT community, especially in Texas. Overall, the nice concept of the culture is overshadowed by the poor execution.

Cons

Extreme lack of growth opportunity, management that only sees you as a worker bee with no real interest in helping you grow. Zero opportunity for creative development. No interdepartmental communication from the Austin “call center” style customer service office to the San Francisco HQ, making it impossible to move out of customer service and into a more fulfilling position with the company. Don’t work here with that goal, you’ll be wasting your time.

Pros

The concept behind Stitch Fix is great and it is inspiring to work at a company where creative women are the majority. Stitch Fix is providing a service to busy and wardrobe challenged women nationwide.

Cons

Stitch Fix lacks diversity in the SF headquarters. It's astounding to see such little representation of women of color- especially in a location as diverse as the San Francisco Bay area. It makes their hiring practices seem questionable.

Pros

You get to work from home.

Cons

Where do I begin? Let me try to sum this up in a list: Management has unrealistic expectations of their employees, so basically, if you aren`t styling enough people an hour, better believe you are working off the clock to avoid a nasty email or phone call from your manager. No, they don`t suggest you do this, but it is implied with their harsh critique. Inventory is always awful. Most times you have nothing to give your clients, and everything is ridiculously expensive. I`m not sure who does the merchandise buying, but they aren`t doing it well. This is a stressful and demanding position.
