Pros

Work colleagues are knowledgeable on shoes and have a passion for sneakers and streetwear no other pros

Cons

Unrealistic targets of 45 shoes per hour and high pressure from management to hit more meaning shoes aren’t always checked thoroughly Huge pressure from management to clear all shoes everyday despite being in a pandemic meaning you have to go well above rates everyday Long working hours (40 hours) Standing on feet all day Low pay 24k per year compared to other company’s in the industry No opportunity for training or promotion Inexperienced management team constantly forcing more workload to justify their astronomical wages Profits not passed down to authenticators doing all the work Poor discount on shoes Have to pay for company uniform No bonus scheme No options or benefits Warehouse is dangerous with loose wires everywhere

Pros

- people from different backgrounds - get to see hyped sneakers

Cons

- Barely paid over minimum wage for 9hr shift - On feet all day - on internal feedback it is supposed to be anonymous but it’s not and your managers will then pick on you because they can see what you’ve written - Micro managed to a suffocating degree, every move is watched like a hawk. If you take a toilet break they call to ask where you are - No training structure, no working structure - Expected to do things not in your job title like unboxing constantly, once in a while when low on staff would be fine but daily is ridiculous thats not what we are hired to do! Then blame us for not getting enough orders out to customers and guilt us into working weekends - ZERO benefits, have to purchase StockX apparel to wear to work why should we buy work clothes?? - Used to be a sneaker store for staff with a small discount, they sold it privately for millions without even offering last chance to buy a little cheaper. Pure greed - The 7% StockX discount is only for 5 items per month maybe only charge us the 3% processing fee since we get nothing else - Unlimited time off isn’t for authenticators who work the hardest on the higher ups - Used to get 2x lunch a week that’s also been taken away food choices rubbish anyway - Can’t choose your own break time everyone is given a break time at the same time often too early to eat a meal so it’s an unhealthy lifestyle - Warehouse often freezing cold - Run by ego and dictatorship too much favouritism - No rewards or recognition only for favourite staff. Considering how much they make their should be monthly bonuses for those hitting targets there’s nothing they just bully you to do more - No communication between managers and operations staff only to complain if numbers are low - very competitive to the point of ostracising some authenticators - a lot of bullying when reported to hr or management nothing is done

Pros

The evergrowing platform, startup, room to grow, company culture, worldwide based

Cons

No career progression, lack of managerial system within the authentication centre. This is purely based on the authentication team member side of things not the company as a whole, the company as a whole was great and I would say this is based on London authentication centre, not its other locations as I cannot speak of if this were the same. Management within the other office was deemed friendlier, more approachable however within the authentication centre was very unprofessional. Often employees felt treated just like a warehouse of amazon employees without any culture. Health benefits are taken care of which is great, but lack of any employment discount/bonus schemes.
