Pros

Reasonably good company. The company has many products in the J2EE technology and is doing well even in recession

Cons

Not very employee friendly. Does not have a bonus plan or good training budget. The insurance premium contributions from employee are high, the 401 K match is done at the end of March the next year, the phylosophy being to retain the employee money as much as possible. Does not care about attrition, treats employees as a comodity.

Pros

I can only speak for my specific business unit and my specific department, but I would say that my job seems stable, and the employees are not mistreated (I should know I have been in some really bad companies previously). The new corporate structure is more like the way Fiserv used to be and the business units have more freedom than under Fiserv corporate. The new benefit package is really nice, I was very impressed.

Cons

Due to the small size of business units and independence of those business units advancement does not come easily. When poor managers are promoted it takes for ever to correct the problem and many times restructuring is done without fully understanding the consequences of those changes.

If your starving and McDonalds aint hiring. I'd still rather stand in a soup line

Cons

Completely 'Wall St' driven company. All Sr management cares about is meeting the next quarterly numbers so the stock price climbs, so they can sell their options and make a BIG FAST profit and move on, to retirement.
