Pros

Due to the unions you're guaranteed work. Interacting with people, if that's your thing. Benefits, after 1/2 years. Stable hours worked, for part time(availability)

Cons

Performance has little to no effect on your rate of pay. Nor does productivity. For part timers, your hours worked(paychecks) can fluctuate dramatically. For full time employees, you are required to have unlimited availability and the possibility of being transfered to another store is there. If you're seeking another part time job, or trying to further your education. It's nearly impossible.

Pros

The HR people are flexible with when you can work, and try to schedule you based off that. Managers will help you out if a customer gives you trouble.

Cons

Like any retail job, it's dependent on the customers. A handful of people having a bad day can really sour an entire shift. The pay is also not great, considering you have to join the union.
