The Pro's and Con's of the Grocery Retail Environment.

Pros

As an employee I was treated fairly and with a modicum of respect and dignity. Training was above average and I would recommend any training with Stop and Shop as a plus.

Cons

If not energetic or resourceful enough other members of management could misinterpret this as weakness. Hard work alone was not enough.

Overall easy work, kind and understanding management, great flexibility in scheduling for students, parents, etc (part time and full time alike), management is highly tolerant, diverse workforce, union backing

Cons

Work can be monotonous, work can be tiresome when it is busy (on your feet all day), diverse personalities and work ethics can lead to tension amongst coworkers
