Pros

I really enjoyed the work. I loved working 1-1 with clients to help them move and recover better. I had a really wonderful lead flex at the time that took the time to train us and expand upon the original Stretchlab training.

Cons

Very little educational advancement, and a lack of initiatives from management for clients to recieve more than the intro stretch. Management wwould rather train a a new hire than raise the wage for fully booked flexologists that have well more than just the the 25 stretches from training.

Pros

- Pay was decent and flexologists were nice

Cons

- Owners were manipulative and money-focused - No training, education, motivation, coaching what so ever - Did not receive 90 day review until almost 8 months in - Working on weekends - Micro management, lack of privilege as a "Studio Director" which is used as a title to lure you in - No career growth or opportunity How do people even keep working here?!

Good if owners are good

Pros

If owners truly care it's a great place to work. If owners are just out to make money it will be miserable. Nice being active for work and not sitting at a desk. Training and certification is paid for by company.

Cons

Very hard to do more than part-time. You can only work as much as your body can handle, most Flexologists max out at ~25. As such, most of the team have other jobs or just use this as a stepping stone to something better. Only paid when seeing a client, otherwise you are making crap base pay.

Pros

*fun coworker relationships *decent stretch pay rate (28/hr) *members are generally wonderful people *flexes collaborate and stretch each other a lot, great way to learn and improve *good job to gain experience *rewarding work helping people

Cons

*if business is slow you make less money, not reliable (and base pay gets TAKEN AWAY unless you're "being productive") *owners don't communicate well, sometimes manipulative and passive-aggressive. disorganized and shady way of running things *because it's a franchise, corporate and HR are very hard to reach and not much help when there is a problem *no sexual harassment training which is irresponsible given the nature of this work

Pros

training provided for intro to bodyworking (stretch therapy), many locations, on the job training and knowledge swap

Cons

super corporate structure, sales focussed, results oriented, gym culture (kinesiology majors / left brained approach to bodywork), franchise owners create different tones at each location
