Considerations and frustrations do exist, but offset by the culture and environment that has been established at Strive.
a. Limited Resources – Budget constraints may mean fewer tools, outdated systems, or understaffed teams. This is often true in non-start up companies as well.
b. Unstructured Processes – Lack of established workflows can create inefficiencies and confusion. I have seen this grow and evolve at Strive and have the confidence this period is now ending for the company.
c. High-Pressure Environment – Meeting aggressive goals and deadlines can lead to stress. There were times we felt the metrics to measure every role were unachievable but this creates and sparks innovation and creativity to create pathways to achieve these goals.
d. Frequent Changes – Policies, leadership, or business strategies may shift frequently, requiring constant adaptation. This is honestly the most difficult part of working for Strive, adapting to the constant change can be frustrating and a feeling of constant pivot can create feelings of chaos and low moral at times.
e. Technology & Infrastructure Gaps – struggle with implementing and maintaining efficient healthcare tech. I have seen this evolve and definitely see the commitment to continuous improvement, but does make a struggle to have to work within the limits of our products, especially in the earlier years, but now we are seeing this evolution become what has been envisioned.
f. Patient & Provider Trust Issues – Startups must work harder to establish credibility in the healthcare space.
