Pros

Meaningful work, team bonding, room to grow within the company, strong leadership, excellent communication

Cons

Healthcare is always evolving so working in a remote/hybrid position may be difficult for someone who does not adapt to change quickly, the company is constantly developing new strategies to better the patient outcome so not necessary a con, but the company does change procedures throughout the year

Pros

I’ve worked for Strive for a little over four years. The culture is inclusive and committed to our mission, benefits and time off are competitive, and co workers are respectful, fun, and collaborative.

Cons

As many other reviews mention, shifting priorities can cause frequent change. Not a bad thing since we are moving in the right direction when we shift, but proves a need for agility.

Thank you for your thoughtful and positive review! We're thrilled to hear that you have had such a rewarding experience over the past 4 years at Strive. You are a part of creating our culture of inclusivity and collaboration among team members and we thank you for that. We understand that shifting priorities can pose challenges, but we're glad you see it as a step toward our continued growth. We're committed to navigating changes with transparency and purpose. We love your suggestion about prioritizing "Fun" as part of your day-to-day! There are a few fun committees we're aware of and would be happy to connect with you and share some ideas. Feel free to reach out to peopleops@strivehealth.com! Thank you again for all you do!

Strong Vision, but Execution Needs Serious Overhaul

Pros

Innovative Vision: The company has ambitious goals and a leadership team that talks a lot about values like integrity, care for others, and fostering collaboration. Work-Life Balance (for some): Policies like unlimited PTO and hybrid/full-remote work options are advertised, though actual implementation varies widely by department. Opportunities for Learning: If you're self-motivated, there’s room to explore new skills and technologies. The environment supports professional growth in theory, even if guidance is inconsistent. Passionate Colleagues: Many team members are genuinely dedicated to their work and collaborate well despite systemic challenges.

Cons

Systemic Communication Issues: Leadership often fails to clearly articulate vision or expectations to teams. This lack of clarity causes frustration, inefficiency, and occasionally projects going sideways. This was recently highlighted in a company survey, where the farther down the chain you go, the less communication there is. SVPs know everything, Directors and under struggle for guidance. Mixed Messages on Priorities: The company emphasizes professional development but provides little structured support or clear growth paths. This leads to talented employees feeling undervalued and stagnant. Hostile Environment Red Flags: There is inconsistency in how performance is managed. Some employees feel disproportionately scrutinized, which creates an environment that discourages collaboration and openness. Resistance to Feedback: Leadership can be defensive when systemic issues are raised, often redirecting blame onto individuals rather than addressing root causes. This undermines trust and morale. Unnecessary Bureaucracy: Processes like reporting and meeting documentation often feel more performative than practical, with little evidence that leadership uses the information employees spend time creating.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Strive. We’re lucky to have Strivers like yourself on our team for 4 years – almost time for your sabbatical! We appreciate your recognition of our vision, team members you’ve worked with, our flexible vacation policy and hybrid-remote work, as well as our opportunities for growth. It’s important to us that Strivers feels supported in their professional development as we continue to grow as a company. We hear your concerns about communication, clarity in leadership expectations, and performance management. Transparency and open dialogue are essential to our culture, like Chris’ Ask Me Anything segments, and feedback like yours help us identify areas where we can continue to improve. We are actively working to enhance communication across all levels of the organization to ensure Strivers feels valued, supported, and heard. Strive is committed to aligning our actions with our values, and we appreciate your openness in highlighting where we can strengthen that commitment. If you have additional insights or would like to discuss your experience further, we’d welcome the opportunity to connect by emailing peopleops@strivehealth.com. Thank you for your contributions to Strive!
