It was okay - if you're 15.

Pros

- Free sandwiches - Pretty easy work. Obviously there's lots of it to do but none is particularly taxing. Doing the washing up hardly requires much thinking.

Cons

- You smell like subway afterwards. - Often it would become real busy real fast. If there's only two of you there it can be a nightmare.

Pros

You could sneak food and cookies, provided you were in a corner where the 16 video cameras weren't looking. I got a raise after just 2 months of working there. That's about it.

Cons

There was so much stuff to do, always. And the fact that there were only 2 people working each shift didn't help things. Endless piles of dishes, cleaning the store/tables, doing the cash register, preparing food in the background, serving people up front, sweeping and mopping, taking inventory, etc etc. we were working from the minute we got there til closing. I had to work 13 hr shifts day after day and they showed no consideration for my personal time and other obligations. The manager stayed at home and we had to call her with any questions because there was simply no upper level management there, ever.

Pros

You get to know the repeat customers and have multiple opportunities for friendly banter between you and the customers. Making bread, cookies, and sandwiches can actually be pretty fun. You get to eat for free if you work 4.5 hours ( I think that's what it was). You also usually get to take home cookies or other food at the end of your shift.

Cons

You end up doing the same stuff over and over again every day. Some customers get really really mad if you don't do everything PERFECTTTT with their sandwich.
