Pros

Equitable pay range for position Great work/life balance

Cons

Lack of HR presence in New York office allows a lot of things to fly under the radar. Senior leadership regularly uses degrading language which sets a precedent for others to follow suit. Lack of diversity

Suffolk is committed to living by our core value of professionalism, and we are disappointed to hear your experience did not align with that. We have been actively recruiting a backfill for the New York HR Business Partner role; it is a priority focus to have someone identified as soon as possible. In the interim, we are supporting the region via other HR leaders in the organization. We want to learn more about your experience and invite you to connect directly with Jackie Lewis, Chief People Officer, to share more at jlewis@suffolk.com. Thank you for sharing feedback on your experience; we appreciate it, and it will be addressed immediately.

Pros

Very techie. Systems are good. Exciting projects.

Cons

You get promoted by who you know or work out with. The upper management in WC Florida has no respect to the employees or trades. Legal issues have developed with upper management which has attributed to the demotion. The company will run you in the ground. False promises on bonuses are common.

Pros

Great opportunities to work on landmark projects. Good SOPs and passionate people.

Cons

Sometimes it feels like corporate forgets we’re a construction company. They day after an hour long call celebrating all these new ventures, we find out half the already short staffed and overworked project team isn’t getting any bonus this year. Preaching diversity and inclusion is a joke if you look just at the make up of the c suite and operations execs.
