You can do better

Pros

Technology is on forefront, they try to innovate their way out of problems, attempts at creating standards, if you are the live at work type- you will succeed here, initial pay is decent-raises are awful

Cons

Incredibly long hours regardless of your level in the company, expected to work weekends, regional top level management does not know a thing about operations and passes off personal failures onto the individual projects who pay the price. Always in legal battles at the end of projects with owners and subcontractors. John F should know the truth on his projects, but regional management will never allow it.

Great experience, but too cutthroat?

Pros

Great platforms and resources to learn your job duties. I can’t tell you just how much I’ve grown in the year plus I’ve been with the organization. I like my project teams. Benefits are decent, and they really try to bring some measure of work-life balance with a generous-than-normal PTO package.

Cons

There’s a disconnect amongst senior management of varying degrees that’s resulting in significant turnover these days. Construction is pretty stressful already, but the fact that you have some members in senior management who meddles with the way you operate is concerning. Long hours are also expected.

Pros

Exciting large projects, feel rewarded when project is over and experienced senior staff.

Cons

Definitely a company with ins and outs, it's actually a big part of the culture of working here. You will be sized up and cast with in weeks, hopefully your dad is important. Once you are cast your reputation will be spread by others and follow you. After hour "social events" are mandatory even if your driving home... The topic of discussion will be your coworkers. Your name will be brought up. Long stressful hours 6 days plus (no one will disagree with that).
