Pros

Really good benefits, some good perks

Cons

Upper management is selfish and unwilling to take an active approach to improving morale. West coast operations are attempting to simulate East coast operations, however, the construction cultures are completely different. Operations must adapt to their working environs rather than attempting to influence a culture that runs counter to the norm.

Pros

Suffolk has some of the brightest, most passionate, and dedicated professionals within the industry. In recent years the culture and management structure have been completely transformed into a well integrated team. The enterprise is growth oriented, dynamic, and always strives to improve. The company is highly focused on work-life balance, with 5 Summer Friday's off, a highly progressive paid time off plan, and more employee flexibility. There has been a huge boom in female leadership in recent years, with 25% of the management committee positions filled by women!

Cons

On rare occasions politics can still rear their ugly head, but they are much less frequent, much more contained, and have a limited impact on the company's ability to grow and evolve.

A good learning experience, but too many politics

Pros

It was a great chance to learn new skills and interact with different levels of people. I learned how to truly multi-task as it was very fast paced.

Cons

There are alot of politics, closed doors, and everything has to be a secret. If you cross the CFO or the resident lawyer, you are as good as done. Those two boys seem to run the company as they see fit, instead of having it as a team effort.
