Pros

Equitable pay range for position Great work/life balance

Cons

Lack of HR presence in New York office allows a lot of things to fly under the radar. Senior leadership regularly uses degrading language which sets a precedent for others to follow suit. Lack of diversity

Suffolk Construction Response

Suffolk is committed to living by our core value of professionalism, and we are disappointed to hear your experience did not align with that. We have been actively recruiting a backfill for the New York HR Business Partner role; it is a priority focus to have someone identified as soon as possible. In the interim, we are supporting the region via other HR leaders in the organization. We want to learn more about your experience and invite you to connect directly with Jackie Lewis, Chief People Officer, to share more at jlewis@suffolk.com. Thank you for sharing feedback on your experience; we appreciate it, and it will be addressed immediately.

Pros

Suffolk is more then a job, it's a company where careers are made. * Salary and benefits package is generous. *If you're willing to put in the work, opportunities are endless. *Positive and inclusive environment. *Safety culture is a priority. *High level clients and challenging projects.

Cons

*Work load and hours can be substantial. *Depending on job assignment, the commute can be challenging. *The nature of the industry, specifically operations requires you to be in-person and doesn't always lend itself to a working from home.
