Pros

Meet *some* good hard working people.

Cons

Very hostile work environment from the front office to warehouse personnel. After some employees have left/fired, a berage of insults to them were prevalent. Alcohol was some times brought in during work hours. One thing that really bothered me was when the CEO came in and treated low position personnel like garbage. Shook the hands of everyone that worked in sales but none to the warehouse associates.

Pros

Summit use to be a great place to work!

Cons

Great place to work 2-3 years ago. My customers complained about inventory, the whs. and CSR all the time. you can say sorry and make excuses so many times. Also, if you're a full commission sales person and you quite.... Don't expect them to pay you.

Pros

local sales teams and Systems.

Cons

The company has forgotten it is a sales organization. The new executive team is focused on more operations then sales. The company is trying to become a Amazon type business and has hired people that lack an understanding of the electrical distribution business. The long term effect will the loss of sales and people. The owner has lost key personnel and it is starting to impact his company from top down. We have lost ground with most key manufactures in the markets because of the the lack of relationships with the executive team. Thus make it hard to win projects. Summit pay and benefits seem to be lacking compared to the industry standards.
