Pros

Good people individually with good intentions. Tremendous potential.

Cons

The people-first culture is a hoax. It only works for the "quarter century club" members. New comers are not welcomed by the tenured folks. The culture is "weaponized" against new comers. The majority of people there with any tenure are stuck in the false belief that the company is outperforming the market when in fact every competitor is outpacing them in growth, market share, and profitability even in their crown jewel market of the Phoenix area. No one there truly understands the real situation and poor financial performance except their owners (Sumitomo Corp). Turnover is 25% for a reason, and most of it occurs at the 3yr mark - why do you think? Stuck in breathtaking denial and incompetence.

2025 has been constant layoffs and firings. no annual raises. people are overworked because teams are gutted. Norty gets visibly upset in meetings when people dare question him.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that change can be unsettling and raise questions. But we’re not preparing for sale—we’re investing in building a stronger, more resilient Sunstate for the long term. Through it all, what’s stayed constant is how much our people care about each other—and that’s something our values will continue to drive and support.

Pros

Customer Service; Good People; Growth

Cons

With new CEO’s first 100 days, there has been an increase in turnover, job eliminations, too many changes at once without keeping the #1 thing Sunstate is about the People. The ‘employee engagement/morale is very low.
