      Pros

      -good insurance coverage since day 1 or hiring -stable working environment -free bread and weekly fruit -occasionally freebies like amazon gift cards, coffee machine, such as such

      Cons

      -does not match 401k -lots of relationships here and there -office politics can determine one's fate -no internal transfer(promotion oppotunity can be limited) -no/close to none remote working unless you are offsite sales or so

      Long hours, low pay, and toxic culture

      Pros

      * Free Saturday lunches (yes, Saturday) * Not much work to do even though everybody seem to work overtime

      Cons

      * Low pay- I have since moved on to other companies, but considering how low I and my peers were paid, I was bewildered why any engineer would want to work for Supermicro * Long hours- my entire team works EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY, and we regularly work till 8PM during weekdays * Toxic culture- I have seen my manager retaliate subordinate for HR reports, employee jump ranks to back-stab immediate lead, and nasty office romance fallouts
