Pros

Great pay Great mission on paper Easy work in a very low stress environment Good company to get healthcare experience

Cons

Processes here are outdated Quickly realize most of leadership is only there for a check and their bonus Be ready to do a lot of a s s kissing Reviews are true about giving feedback…do your work while looking elsewhere Lacks diversity HR is a joke with how large that department is Quickly realize you work for a monopoly (shhh!) owned by its largest customers Wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here unless you’re desperate or for entry level work Plan on leaving as soon as I get my bonus

Its All About Appearances

Pros

Decent compensation and benefits package overall.

Cons

The current head of the legal/compliance/government affairs department is all about cultivating his image/perception and “the story he wants to tell the rest of the company about the department”. He makes a big production of showing how he values diversity and inclusion by attending 1-hour seminars offered by an outside law firm and emailing the rest of the department with the “suggestion” that everyone else participate in what is essentially a “checking the box” exercise. True diversity and inclusivity are not remotely attainable when the person touting its merits states in a staff meeting during Hispanic Heritage month that he “appreciates our Hispanic colleagues, because they bring SPICE to our department!” …completely oblivious to the awkward silence and jaws that dropped in response. One of the company’s core values is: “the full story told in broad daylight”, which couldn’t be further from the truth in this department. If you are asked your opinion (which rarely happens) and you provide honest feedback, or if you try to make suggestions to improve how the department functions, not only is it likely to be disregarded, but you will likely be passive-aggressively punished for it down the road, if it doesn’t comport with management's views.
