The experience is what you choose to make of it.

Pros

Large company with many brands. Good benefits. International travel. I learned a lot, but only due to my desire to do so. It is easy to get lost in the mix and get by on the minimum effort.

Cons

Too much red tape and lack of integrity. Disconnect between headquarters in Switzerland and US office. Poor work - life balance.

Pros

The people i worked with were friendly and the job itself is easy.

Cons

Swatch Group operating in CA DOES NOT give sick time to employees despite the law CA Gov requirement. They also do not offer PTO to part time employees, and this is not addressed in the employee handbook (they mention full time but not part time, and waited until I requested sick time to inform me.) The HQ is constantly changing regulations for how many colab pieces can be sold per day and requirements for small things like EOD emails. If these regulations are not met (and they sometimes happen just moments before said item is to be sold or sent in) you can expect a nasty email using verbiage and tone I would never consider acceptable in a professional environment. If all that weren’t enough, the pay is abysmal. They say in interviews that the pay will average out to around $25 an hour including your commission, but fail to mention that commission is rarely earned because people only want to purchase colab items that are commission barred.

Pros

I had many pros to mention but after this experience, it has left me with zero positive things to say.

Cons

This is just for the Swatch Branch. It depends at which store you work at to be completely honest, my last location really opened my eyes on how much of a mess it really is, HR needs to be improved, you can mention the most unsafest concern and you will be ignored. My former Store Manager made it clear that we weren’t allowed to speak about our pay among one another and it was brought to my attention that commission was not being posted on paystubs. They promise to fix it on your next check and it never comes and same goes for hours, Upper management would overwork you without hesitation along with dangling promotions over your head. Loss Prevention is definitely one of the biggest things that need to be improved as well, they will favorite locations and not do a complete thorough investigation on certain problems. They will give you empty promises just to keep you in the loop and when you realize that is what they do, the next step they take is to make sure you either resign or find little things to get you terminated. I would not recommend anyone to work here, this is for U.S Locations
