Pros

I started at Swoon in May of 2021 fresh out of school with no experience and Swoon welcomed me into their arms! Since being at the company I have had so many amazing opportunities and doors opened for me within the company. From the get-go, Swoon empowers all of its employees and makes sure that their voices are heard. Overall, since day one I have felt comfortable talking to anyone all the way up to executive leadership. One of my most memorable experiences at Swoon was shortly after I had started and placed my first candidate the president of the company took the time out of their day to call me and congratulate me on my achievement. At Swoon, you are not just another number, they truly care about you and your career.

Cons

Honestly, I have not seen any negative aspects or "cons" of Swoon. The recruiting industry can be a grind, especially in your first few months but the payoff is so worth it!

Pros

-Some of my colleagues were cool -the company can be somewhat tolerable, depending on what team you’re on -if you stick around through the muck, you can build up your weekly margin over time (most other staffing firms have better commission structures though)

Cons

It honestly feels like you’re a sorority girl being hazed by corporate America. The NDC or “national delivery center” is a 6-month “training program” to get you up to speed as an entry level recruiter. This team was the largest team at Swoon. While you are on the NDC, you are held to a higher standard and asked to hit higher metrics than any other team at the company, including teams filled with senior recruiters. They constantly threatened some of my colleagues with performance improvement plans — which are ultimatums in which if a recruiter does not hit a certain, very high target, they lose their job at Swoon. Although the NDC is the largest team at Swoon and are held to the highest performance standards, its recruiters aren’t allowed to make commission. On top of this, I heard plenty of sexist, racist, and ageist comments made while I was in the office. This was quite a disappointment because one of the main reasons I chose Swoon was because they claim to be such an inclusive, diverse, and safe place to work. I’ve noticed management be extra hard on and disrespectful towards people of color. There were a couple of instances where people of color were fired for not hitting their metrics on the NDC. Meanwhile, a white man missed those same metrics and was given a second chance on the NDC, rather than being fired.

Pros

Swoon is a great place for anyone looking for an innovative, fast growing, motivated, hard-working company to be a part of and make an impact. They do require hard work, but the financial rewards, people and culture are so worth it. Swoon genuinely cares for, values and supports their employees.

Cons

I cannot think of any at this time.
