CEO and leadership prioritise cost over Talent

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Salary is paid on time

Cons

I have been into this company few years but each year CEO and leadership team is focused on unrealistic cost optimization, often at the expense of employee well-being, growth, and retention. There is little investment in talent grooming, which has led an all-time low in employee morale. - Employees are told to work late evening and weekends with no rewards. - Concerns raised by teams are frequently ignored or deprioritized unless they directly impact costs. - HR and employees are instructed by CEO to prioritize adding positive Glassdoor reviews over resolving real employee issues and growth

Being treating badly

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good location. Hybrid work. Good technologies. Decent benefits.

Cons

I was working well on a generative AI tool for over one year until recent senior director came aboard. He likes to micro manage and he is the sole person to perform source control merges after peer reviews with no autonomy. Releases are rarely on time with poor plannings. I was recently let go by him for his reasons of unmatched skill set and short time working with me. My feeling he is discriminatory on my age and race. The company is not doing well recently and probably have to cut cost. The company is also treating me badly with severance package of 2 weeks for over 5 years of service. It is probably good to get off this sinking ship and not working along side with a micro-management director.

Leadership & Culture is not working

Pros

Benefits are ok, unlimited time off, the products and ideas have a great market

Cons

Leadership and decision making has a long way to go. It is very evident that plan and direction set for the goals is unrealistic as there aren't that many resources. Not a good company culture to be part of at the moment
