Pros

Great work environment. Employees feel like family. Benefits and PTO are very good. New ideas are welcome and they are open to employees learning much about how the company and its various positions work independently and collaboratively.

Cons

The pay is not up to par with similar companies in the area. There is a small sense of office politics when it comes to recognition or promotion opportunities.

Pros

Good place for Cuban coffee! If it is not one of the owners making it, someone else on the staff will have it ready everyday at 3pm.

Cons

This company has to have the one of the highest turnovers in South Florida. That is the most telling indicators of the health of a company from the point of view whether you would want to work there or not. Lead by example is not a motto of Synergistix. Their motto is blame the employee for mistakes to keep upper management employed. Customers are trained to escalate issues to get things done. This creates a toxic environment for employees. To summarize the this review with one word: Run!

Pros

If you're good at what you do, you will get promoted here very quickly (see cons before you get excited). The employees (non-management) is what keeps people here. You can wear t-shirts and jeans, unless clients come to visit the office, then you need to put on the facade. HR is wonderful!

Cons

Salary is not competitive. Too late to enter Cloud market, No ownership or accountability when things go wrong. Its days, sometimes weeks, of finger pointing. Application stack offers no scalability or redundancy. Platform dependent. Workflow model is not clearly defined. Poorly executed Waterfall shop at best. Work-life balance doesn't exist unless you're a web developer or DBA. Every other team gets treated unequally. Don't ever mention open source to anyone there. Weekend work occurs every week scheduled and not compensated.
