Pros

paycheck is on time... albeit, it takes a little getting used to being paid twice a month.

Cons

- Expected Overtime, not requested. - Management and Senior Management expects to anger everyone, causing attrition - only to backfill from India. - Junior Engineers often do the work of Senior Level Engineers - The list is endless - high stress, low pay, unappreciative - They expect beer on tap at the office to be a distraction of how much they don't care. - They constantly change job titles without giving raises.

Pros

What's left of the good techs. Sometimes there would be a birthday, and there would be cake. For some, you can do well and possibly progress if you like to live on your knees......................

Cons

Once I had strong aspirations in the world of computers. This company managed to kill them. Apparently the All Hands Q3 never happened, pretty sure we're bleeding money like crazy. You feel very, expendable, and management tends to remind you of that often. If I had a dollar every time a "mandated change" came down the pipe, but was then reverted months later, the Rothschilds would be envious of my wealth.

Pros

I'm not really sure what the pros are of Synoptek. You can sometimes have a certain amount of liberty in what you do, I guess, and you're forced to learn new things because of a lack of staffing, competence, and a need to accomplish your job, but this isn't really a positive. Some of my coworkers in specific departments and jobs there seemed to be comparatively happy with their pay, but most found it severely lacking.

Cons

First, Synoptek doesn't pay. They pay "market" rates for your local cost of living, if you mean the bottom of the shelf pay for your arbitrarily decided title in your region, but it's not actually cost of living. I hope you like room mates. Second, their concept of career opportunity comes from picking up the jobs and responsibilities of your coworkers who are overworked and buried, or have left the company, or are just lazy/incompetent. Most of us who were any good have already left. The rest are in the process. Third, they don't always advise their clients of what's best for their situation or system, and they don't do a very good job of learning their systems. You end up with unneccessary accessories and services that look and sound good, but don't do anything to improve service.
