Pros

Pay and benefits are very good. Lots of opportunity for bonuses and advancement, if you can meet the standards. They try to implement a work/life balance and they are very good at giving you time off on a first come, first serve basis. Management also tries to promote a fun culture, with lots of pot lucks and events.

Cons

Feels like the expectations can be unrealistic at times. You are expected to meet a lot of metrics that change frequently. Tons of micromanaging . If you can't meet the metrics, prepare to fight for your job. It feels like there can be a culture of fear, with people who have been there for years getting let go. Customers are rude and 8-10 hours a day of staying on the phone can be mentally and emotionally draining. The problems can be complex and you can be under trained and unprepared for some of them. Phone equipment you need is not always available. Near the end of my time there management was starting to track sales, which is not the job I was hired for. Tons of pressure from both management and customers can make this a very stressful job.

Pros

The team environment has been fantastic. I have a second family at T-Mobile and will be sad to leave that. The pay for the job duties is also very competitive if you work in a high volume store. Commission is about half of your pay if you are a solid sales rep.

Cons

You don't know your schedule until a week in advance, so work/life balance is somewhat hard to achieve. It has been disappointing not being able to coordinate with family members and plan for the weekend, as I work every single weekend. Miscommunication from the retail and customer care sectors are a sore point as well. It has led to customers becoming upset when they are told contrasting information, and leaving in droves. I also question T-Mobile higher ups' ability to lead and make good decisions for the company.

Pros

I felt the pay was great and so was my benefits. You could tell that T-Mobile knew it was a tough job there there are nice perks like a cozy employee hangout, free popcorn, free coffee and tea, massage chair.

Cons

Multiple confusing systems to slog through in order to assist a customer, dealing with angry customers every day, not being able to use restroom because of a long call or in between call times were almost instantaneous, not being able to receive help from some management because they want you to be able to "find it yourself" which is less than helpful when you have a person on the line and they want you to get them off within 20 minutes.
