      Pros

      Good benefits and very good 401k plan. good with respect to time off and a decent work life balance. Ok

      Cons

      Horrible pay, bonuses are a joke. Middle management seems to be clueless on complex issues and seems to have a lack of leadership. Unfair raises and promotions. No matter how hard you work you are always a "3". You can honestly come in late everyday do little to no work and have no idea about what is going on and you will get the same review as someone who shows up, tries and has a clue. If your idea for being rewarded for hard work is an ice cream social then T. Rowe is the place for you.

      Pros

      Laid back atmosphere in the operations division Job security, as long as you don't mess up Friendly people Lateral hierarchy, freedom to talk to any boss along the rank

      Cons

      Terrible raises start at 40k, work for 2 years and get a promotion and you are at 45k... unacceptable in a HIGHLY profitable firm in the financial industry in my opinion

      Pros

      While the salary is mediocre, the benefits are outstanding! Work/Life balance is wonderful and promotional opportunities are great. Anyone who says otherwise is taking a narrow view over the recent economic crisis (of course there weren't many promotional opportunities when business was down!). This is a great place to learn how things are done well in the finance world!

      Cons

      Mediocre salary and, in some areas, there is some lacking professionalism amongst associates.
