Pros

Salary is competitive, company has been around for over 60 years.

Cons

TL;DR Don’t work here. Summary: Antithesis to a vibrant work culture- complacent employees and supervisors, the supervisors/directors have no goals or vision for the future of the company, widespread incompetence and inability to execute. Facilities: Highly bottom-line oriented, which leads to cuts in employee benefits and basic facilities upkeep. The company is so cheap they won’t stock the bathroom with enough toilet paper (for cost savings). There is no one in charge of ordering community supplies in the kitchen (so there are no paper towels, knives, cups, plates, etc). The company supplies a Keurig machine but no K-cups for it, because apparently employees “steal” k-cups, hearing this set off alarm bells about how the company views supplying it’s employees with perks/basic essentials. The office space is straight out of the 80’s/90’s, an uninviting cubicle farm with no shared collaboration spaces for holding informal meetings or sharing work. Talent/work: The company needs an aggressive talent overhaul. There are individuals who do absolutely nothing, they’ve worked for the company for 13+ years and add no value to the business. They haven’t continued their education/skill training and have issues using the computer and being effective at their job. There are no documented workflows. The business maintains legacy systems and processes and does not seek automation. There is no talk about employee development, reviews are a joke (they never take place), employees here don’t feel empowered to explore their passions and develop their careers within TBC. Internet sites are blocked, which is highly insulting and adds to the feeling that the company doesn't trust it's employees to get their work done.
