Pros

TD used to be a great place to work pre-pandemic. My boss and team (who are no longer there) were positive, encouraging, helpful, and collaborative. Most of the partners are wonderful people. The ESOP program is nice (when the company actually makes money.)

Cons

Leadership has truly lost its vision and focus on core values. Because they had a bad year, they’re chasing a finite goal with shady ethics and poor management skills. Be aware of being fired for no real reason because they can’t pay the bills. This job took my health away from me and they fired me less than two weeks after I got out of the hospital. They don’t care about you or your well-being - only what makes the business money since they’re currently hemorrhaging.

Pros

Almost everyone I met during my time at TD was friendly and had a team player mindset. I found the pay to be competitive and was happy with my bonuses and raises.

Cons

Leadership on my team changed and the culture took a downturn. They will lay off/fire with no legitimate reason, but with 100% support from other leaders who do not know you or your role. My previous team changed from an experienced, talented pool of 12 individuals to 5 newly hired people who seem to follow one specific individual from one workplace to another. Unfortunately, due to "core values" and not wanting to speak "below the line", serious and important conversations critiquing and providing feedback to leadership are not welcome and seem almost taboo.
