Pros

Innovative and talented engineers who care about the company, the products, and about doing the right thing. Great development opportunities - the company offers variety of training options The best 401(k) program I have ever heard - 5% company match Salary is comparable to industry average

Cons

Senior management does not have a vision and does not care about people. As a result, a lot of great people that made the company great were either let go or had to leave. Layoffs and constant fear of new waves of layoffs is everyday reality - instead of figuring out how to sell more stuff the only solution to improve the bottom line that the executives know is to let more people go. HR is a complete mess. The company has gone through 4-5 VPs of HR in the past 2 years. SVP of HR is simply incompetent and is totally clueless about the real situation in the company. Scary...

Pros

Okay benefits and pay and that’s about it

Cons

HORRIBLE Senior Leadership coming out of their headquarters in Galway. They constantly are hammering people telling them they are awful at their jobs but do nothing to help. There is complete misalignment at the Senior Leadership level on overall priorities then they expect the local leadership team to know what they are supposed to be working on. There is no communication at the site. Work/life balance is non existent. People are expected to work 11-12 hour days and you are ridiculed if you don’t get everything done. They over commit to projects to the customers and get angry when the local team drops the ball on something. Toxic work environment through and through. You can tell local leadership is so stressed out and miserable you are afraid to go to them for anything.

Pros

Matching Donations up to 10K/year for US employees, Flextime, Good pay. Benefits okay; the more you earn you more you pay for your health care.

Cons

Very siloed business units. Cross-functional business units are nonexistent. in the Industrial business unit, all upper management is located in Europe. Business is short sighted and doesn't think on long term strategy. Change is every 6 =9 months. It changes because management is not happy with the current performance. Each year from Oct-Dec layoffs occur. If your job (Demand planning, Customer Care, Pricing, ) can be done in a low-cost country you will lose your job in the next 1-3 years. PTO is only 10 days and 6 personal days when you first start. Very little diversity in upper management positions.
