Pros

I enjoyed some of my coworkers. Once you work here, you will be beyond grateful for every job that follows.

Cons

This place is just gross. The micromanagement, gaslighting, and manipulation are off the charts. In addition to the office environment being as toxic as it gets, the company itself is in the middle of an identity crisis. They are trying to rebrand themselves as a services organization but their “services” are pretty much just bundled staffing engagements. They can’t compete with true technology partners and integrators. If someone told me I had to go back to work here, I would feel like the person in a horror movie that escapes captivity and runs to the nearest road in an attempt to ask for help only to have the first car that they encounter being driven by the murderer they were trying to escape.

A Company in Crisis

Pros

- A great place to start a career in recruiting right out of college. - The company offers a good training program and structure for someone who is early on in their career. - Employees can relocate to other offices across the country either through transferring or for a promotion. - There are some great individuals who work at TEKsystems. - TEKsystems is a widely recognized name which can help open doors at many larger companies. - After working at TEKsystems for a year, most recruiters will have an opportunity to go work for any of the FAANG tech companies.

Cons

- The company is losing people with 5+ years of tenure at an alarming rate across the country. This should be a BIG RED FLAG! - The biggest obstacle to doing business is not with the client, but trying to navigate all the red tape and inconsistent processes internally. - There is a lack of diversity at the top level of the organization (one white female and no BIPOC leadership at this level). - There is a toxic sexual culture that trickles down from the top. From inappropriate comments made by top executives to long-time employees being "pardoned" for sexual harassment and even promoted into other roles.

Pros

This is a good job to get out of college if you already have some sales or customer service background. The training works if you practice and utilize it everyday. The lunches are paid for if you meet with technical professionals. When you hit your salary benchmark, you automatically make 50k. I have some colleagues making 6 figures who have been here about 2 years. The culture is young and there are a lot of open bar happy hours.

Cons

I work 60 hours per week and there are not many female leadership. The oldest women in leadership is almost 30 (no kids) in our department while the oldest for men is close to retirement. As a woman, you will feel that there is an expiration date on you. Also, there is no solid program for working mothers or new mothers and there are huge discrepancies between offices nationwide. You usually hear rumors of programs that other offices are trying and you might have to reach out to other offices about their program out of state. Also, you should hope that you don't get to recruit end user services because you have to hit a more higher benchmark to get your salary. In our office, it is predicted that end user services hit salary twice as long or even longer than other recruiting fields. I hit my salary in just 5 months but I wasn't in end user services. If you don't hit your salary benchmark, you'll be making $14/hour non negotiable. Imagine having to pay for college loans, housing, car, and food from a wage of $14 per hour. If you find a candidate who is not a citizen or green card, you don't get the full points filling the position. If the visa holder comes from an approved list, you will get 75% and if they are not on the list, you will be punished and get 50%. Moreover, the tuition reimbursement is terrible. You will only be supported if you get a degree in business and none other. You will also have to drive to meet technical professionals for lunch, breakfast, or dinner and that's a lot of added mileage on your car. Overall, I work from 7:15am until almost 6pm with travelling lunches every day. There is a lot of drinking as part of the culture and you'll feel ostracized if you don't drink. Also, you have to dance when you get your first start in front of everyone.
