Pros

Work from home and you work on your own time. Great for additional money in your pocket.

Cons

Sometimes the tasks dry up at odd times and especially around holidays. This is really more of a side hustle kind of thing more than a full on job to maintain a lifestyle.

Pros

You can pick your own hours and there are opportunities to work extra hours.

Cons

Telus advertises that the position is contract only; then if you're selected you're actually a W2 employee. They provided training but this was conducted by international employees and was often hard to understand. Reviews of work submitted were provided, however opinions on correct work varied greatly depending on the reviewer. Employment with them ended when I needed to get a new phone and no one could send my personalized link to download the app to my new device. Not a very detail-oriented company which is ironic because the job itself was all about detail.

Pros

I've worked in this position for 4 years. For someone who has to stay home, is disabled, is retired, has a low skillset, or otherwise has some reason to need a remote job that's very easy- then this job is better than nothing. You get used to it quickly, and can even do another simple job/online side gigs at same time once you know what you're doing. It's not really an "adult career" type of job, given that we are paid the same as teenagers bagging groceries at the supermarket. But again, really easy and you get to be at home, doesn't require any advanced skills. Keep in mind they can let you go at any time. Best to treat as another side hustle, but some do this as their main job. I would say this would be a great job to support yourself at this same pay level as an expat living abroad in a cheaper country, however, with this position they require you to live and work in the same country, so this can't be an expat job.

Cons

Very few bonuses or incentives each year, being W2 yet getting no benefits, no PTO, no sick leave (unless your state mandates it), no 401K, no health insurance, no job security as you are easily replaceable
