Health benefits, pension, decent pay, potential for a good company if they’d get it together.
Cons
Some terminals can’t get any help and nobody wants to work for the pennies they want to pay a new employee compared to every other carrier. I’m a line haul driver and nearly half my pay comes from dock work. I’ve ran into some really cool managers but that’s not the norm. Expect to have someone up your butt micromanaging at every opportunity. They recently slowed all trucks down to 65mph and most of the equipment is hand me down stuff from small package UPS or hasn’t been replaced or maintained since UPS Freight took over. (Granted TFI is trying to get it up to par). Seriously the pension and health benefits are the only true benefit of working here.
