Pros

Anyone can learn the entry level positions, just be advised that you aren't taught why you are doing or learning the specific skill. No one knows what TGS stands for even the Directors. Quarterly bonuses, seems legit until you see your 3 digit bonus compared to the upper levels 5 and 6digit bonus. Cool job if you're a student not a job for a career.

Cons

You work hard to reach goals on the production floor, yet the big bosses reap all benefits of six figure bonuses and production may get something compared to a paycheck. Under value employees, seriously feels like working in your high school cafeteria. No professionalism wear your house shoes type of environment.

Pros

This company is investing in the future, gaining insights into the future of the industry. Free lunch every day.

Cons

Average benefits. The healthcare plan isn't great, so budget for that. The 'bonuses' are sketchy and unreliable. Old school. Low rewards. Low energy. Lack of vision from management. There are almost no opportunities for "fun" or something as advanced as a "touchscreen" monitor in huddle spaces. Again... nothing gets past the management who expect more button pushing, tie, 8-5, dot the 'i's and whatever you do... do NOT go above for anyone internally. Even though there is a YMCA next door, There needs to be a shower and lockers for employees who want to exercise during lunch. The locker rooms are packed and dirty.

Pros

Free Food, Paid Vacations, Paid Sick,

Cons

The lack of training. The lack of management skills. The totalitarian ways of doing things. The favoritism is off the charts, you could be the best in your group but if "THEY" do not like you, forget it. They can and will reduce your Bonus and restructure your pay without letting you know in advance. Example, say you make eighty grand total and say "THEY" give you a raise in salary and you feel all good, then at the end of the year you made the same as last year and you’re wondering how is that? Well, what TGS-NOPEC does is cut your bonus so you never get ahead and keep cutting. And TGS-NOPEC does this on a consistent basis. Also, TGS-NOPEC will short you in pay whenever they can. Example, TGS-NOPC does not comp you for over-time in anyway shape or form that I noticed. Also, there sure are A LOT of H1B visa workers in the Research and Development Department (These are just opinions) I wonder how many in the Research and Development Department got laid off?
