Pros

One of the best privately owned flatbed companies in the industry to work for. Pay is good and they do everything they can to get you home every weekend.

Cons

Per diem would be nice or the ability to stay in a hotel at least once or twice a week. They have this policy about not wearing earrings.

Thanks for the review! :) TMC offers per diem to drivers. It is optional so drivers decide whether to participate in the program or not, based on their own preference.

Working at TMC was a prime example of how "all good things- even presumably good things- come to an end"..

Cons

If you are entry level into the Logistics field, I would definitely NOT recommend TMC Transportation as the place to jump start your career.. The management doesn't have a clue as to how to make one become successful.. If someone has been in the industry some time, they might be okay at TMC, but the company's technology and training is basically non- existant.. There are some fortunate people working for the company in the corporate office with their established positions, but the new Brokerage department TMC is attempting to create has a LONG road ahead to become "good".. Sadly, I believed in a company that didn't properly train, guide, teach, or believe in me, but expected miracles.. I did everything that was asked and expected of me and then some, but I still chose the wrong company to invest myself and my time in..

Home every night and good benefits.

Cons

Work late, Saturdays without compensation. Penalized if a driver is terminated, no matter the reason. Big company so "business" decisions are made and people lose jobs. Bonuses are nice... if you can reach tough goals.
