Pros

Everyone was easy to get along with. Work load was consistent for the most part. Wish I would have never left.

Cons

None really. I have nothing constructive to add. Overall great place to work. Wish I didn't have to move out of state.

Pros

The pay and benefits are great and there's definitely potential for promotion. Lot's of vacation time - although I recently found out you won't get paid for vacation if you stop working there before your one year mark. Good place to get experience even if you're new to the industry.

Cons

The job itself was great, but the work environment was not. Many of my co-workers and management were disrespectful. Lots of talking behind peoples backs and starting unnecessary rumors that interfered with work and made people uncomfortable. Many of my co-workers, including myself, felt undervalued and ultimately ended up finding a different place to work.

Pros

Paid training, flexible route schedule, the majority of non-TMC truckers out there would tell me how they were driving for the best company. Then they would show me dirty logs and brag to me that they were making fifty thousand a year. I was on my way to making a guaranteed 40-45 thousand dollars a year at TMC, on top of that, I used my GI bill and received benefits as an apprentice. My dispatcher Taylor Yates would ask me if I wanted to be at a beach for the weekend or if I wanted to end my week near an amusement park, or if I wanted to be at my house in CT. The majority of the time I was home. The fun was when I would pick up in Saukville, WI and drive halfway across the U.S. with a great paying load. TO ALL VETERANS, this is the place that you want to drive for. I was taken care of and I was treated fairly. I worked hard when I could and was able to take a break for a couple of hours when I couldn't, I never received one complaint from my dispatcher and Taylor was always professional no matter the circumstance. Let's be honest, I wasn't the best trucker around and I dinged up the truck a couple of times. The safety manager, Drew, was always professional and made sure to let me know that I'm better than that. The positive reinforcement that I received while being paid to see all of America was priceless. I was able to get just about every holiday as well...

Cons

It's difficult to have your wife in the truck when you are a young couple, I couldn't let her sit there everyday knowing that the idleness was killing her, being able to strap a load down with the help of wife was priceless though. I guess I'm trying to say that unless your wife has a CDL, then be prepared for some bad days. I don't really have any major cons, I guess the only con was that when I decided to go down a different path other than truck driving, I wasn't able to work at TMC as something other than a truck driver.
