Pros

1.Remote work allowed 2.Many good people 3.Hiring leadership from outside is bringing more professionism and sophistication, but it's an uphill battle

Cons

1. CEO rarely visible, true state and direction of company poorly understood by staff 2. All three sectors run as separate businesses, lack of collaboration between sectors and no repercussions for those who refuse to collaborate 3. Bad employee behavior tolerated, not addressed, to the detriment of others 4. 20 years behind with respect to industry practices (no true BD repository, files for same client on different servers/individual hard drives, no pre-execution kick-off calls to educate teams on assignments, most of staff lacking professional qualifications, lack of project management tools, etc) 5. Power held by senior managers who have been employed there for most of their careers, and their inner circles. These senior managers don't respect positional power, marginalizing others continuously without regard.

Pros

TRC offers flexibility, as all employees are remote and work is not closely scrutinized. If you have somewhere to be during the day, you can go and do not need to report to anyone- you're treated as you should be, like an adult. This can be hard to find in other companies, so I appreciated this. The work is not particularly difficult and the team itself was comprised of knowledgeable individuals who were pleasant to work with,

Cons

In terms of the work and the job- we would get a task, or start a task, get down the road with it, have no less than 500 meetings with 50 people in each meeting and each project would eventually die a slow death. Nothing would get off the ground in marketing. It was extremely frustrating. I had 5 different bosses in the first 6 months of working there, which was very hard for continuity purposes. Each one had a very different style and very different priorities. I have no idea who still works there now or what the team is like, but it was not unpleasant, just hard to work around.

Pros

$30 an hour, received a bonus by negotiating for it in the interview, if you want a lot of experience fast you will get it, first year people they expect you to go to the office everyday for a year. After that they first told me it was only once a week, but now they are trying to make it twice a week. upper management is rarely seen at the office despite this policy

Cons

Low pay, consulting industry, they expect you to be billable as much as possible, always having to reach out for work, training is non-existent, they just throw you at projects expecting you to learn as you go because everyone is so busy all the time to have time to train you. Your work-life balance will highly be dependant on the the office you are working at and the expectations they put on you on how billable and how much field vs office work you do
