Pros

Fair compensation , acknowledge employee successes, respect work/life balance with openPTO

Cons

Extremely low meal allowance of $45- they say only a guideline but there is nowhere in the country where $45 is a reasonable allowance Mileage reimbursement .56/mi. is federal rate from a few years ago. The reason given is that employees can itemize on their tax return is questionable as virtually no one itemizes any more with standard deduction now increased. Should follow federal mileage rate as most companies do.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to provide us, as well as the Glassdoor community, your thoughts thus far into your tenure with us. You do highlight a valid point — our meal allowance, as you stated, is simply a guideline — it's not the law. We make clear and constantly reiterate to our field employees or those that travel that it is simply a guideline to be cognizant of, but to have conversations with your manager if you know you're going to a large city where costs tend to run higher. Given that we have employees across the US and Canada, prices fluctuate geographically. While $45 in Texas will certainly cover a meal, it most likely will not in New York City. So, again, that's why we encourage that dialogue with your manager so those accommodations can be met. Thank you again for being a member of our team — we look forward to what we both can accomplish in 2024 and beyond.

Hello and thank you for your concise review of your time spent with us so far. First things first — we pride ourselves on our people, that includes you. We stand by our motto that our product is our people, and we only hire the best and brightest to ensure we maintain that reputation. You raise valid concerns — training and promotions. First, training. In the midst of the pandemic, we opened an actual training center in Richardson, TX, that's constantly utilized for training new hires, as well as anyone who'd love to come in and freshen up their skills. Additionally, we do offer TSP University (available on the CSC homepage) — it's available for free, 24/7, for any employee to utilize to develop and nurture their skill set, or to completely learn a brand new skill. If you were unaware of either, we'd strongly recommend discussing the training center with your manager, as well as logging into CSC and exploring TSP University at your earliest convenience. We try our absolute best to be as competitive as possible with our pay, compensation, and any potential promotions, but there are times in which those aspects dictated by client bill rates and the length of contracts — but again, we try our hardest to advocate for the best possible solution for both employee and client. We sincerely appreciate your efforts and contributions in your time with us so far, and we're absolutely looking forward to what 2024 brings to TSP.
