Pros

Respect work/life balance. Celebrate employee successes. Onboarding process positive.

Cons

Woefully low meal reimbursement. Very low mileage reimbursement. Excuse on meal is that it is only a guideline. But nowhere in the country is $45/day acceptable. Their own customer's rate is near double that. Excuse on mileage is that employees can deduct on tax return the difference. But near no one itemizes their taxes anymore so that reason is poor. Just pay the federal rate like almost.all respectsbel.companies do.

Thank you for providing us, as well as the Glassdoor community at large, your thoughts on your tenure with us thus far. First off, you hit the nail on the head — we do try to nurture a culture that not only respects, but encourages a strong work/life balance. So much so that we've instituted an open vacation policy. There are additional benefits that our employees love — our competitive benefits, our 401K program, our Seeds to Leads program, our free training and certifications via Rockstar University, and especially the flexibility. Regarding your thoughts on meal reimbursements, we're very cognizant that the same meal will vary by region. For clarification — we do not have a per diem. The maximum daily guideline is $45.00/day for most of the country, but remember, the $45.00/day is only a guideline. If you're visiting a major metropolitan area (where there's a strong likelihood this would be exceeded), all we ask is for you to seek approval from your manager prior to your trip. Admittedly, there are one or two things that may not be approved, like an Omakase dinner. We conduct extensive market research constantly to ensure the compensation offered is as good as it possibly can be — if it wasn't, we'd constantly be losing out on the best employees, but we're not — there's a reason that we're considered by some of our clients as being the best kept secret in the IT space. We listen, and we strongly encourage our employees to have open, direct, and constant conversations with their managers to ensure we're addressing every reasonable action item we can. Thank you for both your time spent with this review, and more importantly, your time spent with us.

Pros

There's essentially no micromanaging or waste of time box checking exercises. I get to focus on the engineering and solving customer problems. The unlimited PTO is incredible. It really lets you recharge and/or work through challenging family issues as needed. On the HR side, I don't have to expense things often, but when I do, I've never had any issues. The only surprises I have had with payroll were a couple times my check was MORE than I was expecting. They always answer any questions or concerns I have super promptly, sometimes within an hour of sending the email. Overall, I would say TSP is there when you need them, without being in the way of getting your work done.

Cons

The overall benefits and insurance maybe aren't the most amazing, but I can't complain about the take home pay. I've been very satisfied with my starting salary and raises through the years.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to provide us, as well as the Glassdoor community at large, your insight into your years of dedicated service with TSP. We aim to sincerely live by our motto — our product is our people. Our people aren't just those like you in the field, but they're also the unseen individuals supporting our field staff, like our HR and Talent Management teams. We're also glad to see that you value the benefits beyond insurance, like the open vacation policy. We constantly say that we only hire the best and brightest to ensure things are done right by our customers. We try to benchmark our benefits each year against not only our geographic footprint, but also the industry at-large. Having recently moved to the nation’s largest private health broker as our partner, that has provided us with invaluable tools to continually strive to ensure our benefits are top-notch and competitive. For some background, we have structured our benefit plan as a high deductible plan but with extremely low premiums. The thought around this is premiums come out every paycheck regardless of if an employee is sick. We're proud to have you with us for all these years, and we look forward to the work we'll accomplish together — thanks for being a part of the team.
