Pros

Unlimited PTO( unless they decided to deny you it for ANY reason)

Cons

When I started the management came off extremely friendly and understanding. By the time I left it was a completely different attitude. They became EXTREMELY stat driven to the point they would deny you PTO or sick days. It got to the point where my team only had 1-2 reqs to work a week. I informed my managers that it was mathematically impossible for me to hit my stats because we do NOT have anything to work on. I was told by my management that they are aware that it’s impossible but I need to still do it. I was also set up for failure which in the end caused me to get fired. I got fired at the end of December. Since my departure I know of at least 15 people that have either quit or have been fired. I’m telling you this company is terrible and you WILL regret it.

Thank you for your feedback. It has never been nor will it ever be the intention of management to set anyone up for failure and I'm sorry you feel that way. Our quest is to create an environment where everyone can succeed, if not, what's the point? If our associates fail, then our clients become disenfranchised and eventually leave, resulting in our demise. Metrics are a tool we utilize to provide clear guidance to recruiters of their performance toward company & personal goals. We do this because recruiters requested data to measure how they are performing in relation to meeting their income goals. Your comment about requisitions or lack thereof is concerning and appreciated. This indicates that you may not have been properly trained or introduced to the open market which displays requisitions company wide, any of which you are able work on. If this is the case I apologize and will use this feedback as a means to implement better training. I welcome any additional feedback regarding your experience at Tailored Management.

Pros

Truly none, unless you find a lack of work life balance a pro

Cons

No guaranteed sick days, you're given "personal days" but they're subject to approval and can be denied for any or no reason. Meaning you could tell your manager that you can't come in because your kid is sick and they could simply say, "No, you need to come in anyway". The "unlimited PTO" sounds nice but in reality they expect you to only schedule vacation when you're ahead on your work. If you're behind they pressure you to cancel it or work while on vacation. Turn over is outrageous. In my time there probably saw about 60-70 people come and go. They chew their recruiters up and spit them out. They are focused on making money for their execs and not much else. Managers play favorites in a major way. Overall, TM has one goal: make money at all costs. At the cost of their contractors, their recruiters, whoever it takes. Don't let their flowery mission statement or ping pong table in the office fool you like it did me. There is only one word to sum up my time at TM: "regret".

Thank you for your feedback! I'm sorry you had a negative experience with Tailored Management, it certainly isn't our goal. You are correct, we don't have guaranteed sick days, instead we have 7 personal days, or mental health days, which can and have been taken by associates by simply calling and indicating they wouldn't be making it to work. If you experienced something different I'd like to know. We encourage vacation days which is why we have unlimited PTO to facilitate a work/life balance. All we ask is a 2 week advance notice to prepare and accommodate business needs. If your experience in requesting PTO wasn't accommodated due to your performance I'd be interested to hear more. Tailored Management is a "for profit" enterprise so yes, we try to make money as most do most companies. The vast majority of the money we make is reinvested into the business to facilitate growth, which currently averages about 30% annually, not the pockets of the executives. I'd enjoy learning more about your experience and how we can evolve to be better in the future.

Pros

The staff is great...very fun, hip environment. Only issues is there can be more workplace drama than usual. Steve brings in the best donuts ever and they have a lot of fun staff events. It is a pretty laid back culture.

Cons

They tell you that you can make a lot of money but its not going to happen. Their structure is set up to where you could potentially hit high numbers....but no one ever wants to work contract jobs and there is such a fast fall off that it is impossible to make any decent money here. But hey, at least the CEO has his Ferrari! Management definitely has their favorites which sucks if you aren't one of them. Also...if you strongly believe in adhering to HR policies.....don't even bother, you won't last.

The aggressive growth rate that we've seen over the past few years has been much more than we could have expected. With that growth, changing our mindset from a smaller organization to who we are today is one of the largest differences in who we were and who we are. Thanks for sharing this feedback. (ps. we think Steve's donuts are pretty awesome too!) If you want to share some additional details, please send a message to feedback@tailoredmanagement.com. We'll be sure to treat your message with respect and anonymously.
