Pros

Very fast moving company with a young, fun, ambitious and hard-working team! There's loads to learn, a great induction programme and a lot of opportunities for development / training at the management level. Everyone is encouraged to work independently and drive their own area of responsibility forward - it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them.

Cons

There are a huge amount of projects running in parallel and due to the hyper growth of the business processes aren't always clearly defined - you are left to find your own solutions and build/ use your own internal network to solve problems. This can be overwhelming at times - especially for new starters or people who are used to larger corporations. If you have a 'can do' attitude and aren't afraid to roll your sleeves up to work hard, you will learn a great amount in a very short time.

Great to hear you’re finding many opportunities to learn at tails.com so far. We pride ourselves on being an ambitious and hard-working organisation and it’s brilliant to get this feedback. Introducing new starters to the tails.com culture is something I spend a lot of time on and I’m pleased that you enjoyed your induction too. As a hyper-growth company, we appreciate that there are a lot of competing priorities and it can sometimes be difficult to navigate them. We also actively want our culture to give individuals autonomy - with support and guidance from their manager - so that they can use their individual skills to have the best impact on our customers. Thank you so much for sharing your views - I hope you continue to enjoy your first few months at tails.com! Many thanks, Henrik Head of People

Pros

Good kitchen and free breakfast

Cons

No time for breakfast, lunch. Leader or manager enjoy and give all work to engineers or technicians. Employees look into other work more than theirs and very fast in complaining. No job Security Feeling. Extra work at night No technical training provided Lots of tension Less salary

Work-life balance has become an increasing focus for us given the events of the past year and a half so I’m really disappointed to hear about your negative experiences with us. As an organisation, we encourage everyone to have open and honest conversations with their managers about any concerns or issues they have and we, as the People team will also step in if necessary. If you would like to discuss this specific situation in any more detail, I would be very interested in hearing from you. Many thanks, Henrik Head of People

Pros

- Most of the employees at tails.com are lovely to work with. It really depends on your department. - The management can be great to talk to and can be very down to earth. But this depends on your department. - When things go wrong, you're usually not alone. Some of your colleagues will normally help out. - Most employees have a very positive attitude to ideas. - Good mix of women and men in managerial positions.

Cons

- Meeting heavy. - tails.com is a face-paced company to work for. 121 meetings happen weekly but no actions seem to come out of them. They're more like therapy sessions without actionable outcomes. - Targets are high, even during COVID. It often felt that the targets were more important than the people. I don't think they're very people focused anymore. - They've outgrown their office space but they still want you in the office. - Depending on who you work with, you might experience some micro-management. - Sometimes people think they know your job better than you do. So will ignore your expertise.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. This feedback is super useful! You have some excellent ideas on how your 1:1’s could’ve been better. We want all of our team to get the most out of that one on one time and how this is done may vary for each individual. I’d encourage any team member to talk to their manager directly about how their 1:1’s are run and what they expect to get out of those meetings. Hybrid working is still quite new for us and we will be listening to everyone's feedback on how we can make this work, not only for tails.com but for people as individuals too. Many thanks, Henrik Head of People
