Pros

The people are absolutely fantastic. You can ask anything at all and everyone is ready to help explain anything you need help with. There is lots to learn every day as it's a growing business. The senior team are very tuned in and treat everyone with respect - like should be the norm in any good company! I have worked in many companies where superiors sort of look down or don't care much about the new starters, but not here, everyone gets a personal introduction and it's a very supportive atmosphere.

Cons

Starting salary could be more personalised to the individual's experience, rather than a flat rate for the role. Otherwise, not any I can think of!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, really appreciate your transparency and your great comments about the team and the culture. Seems like there is a lot that you appreciate with working at tails.com which is great to hear. I’m also aware that we could do more when it comes to ethnic diversity. Gender diversity I think we do pretty well (57% women in Senior team, 56% women in general at tails.com) and I’m glad to hear that you haven’t perceived any discrimination, but I think we could do more in this area. This week I am facilitating a recruitment training for hiring managers at tails.com where one topic is diversity which I hope will trigger some good discussions and reflections. If you have any ideas or suggestions of what more we could do, please message me, I’d be keen to involve you in the work if you’d like. Thanks, Henrik Malmquist, Head of People at tails.com

The best place I've been at

Pros

tails.com is a pretty unique place. People are super friendly and welcoming. Reading the customer reviews on TrustPilot makes you so proud of working for a business that is fundamentally making life for dogs and their owners better. And being surrounded by people who are collaborative and smart is a great add on to the culture. Lots of opportunities to develop. CEO is great! Down to earth, part of the team (rather than superior which is sometimes the case), and visionary.

Cons

I guess with all growing businesses, there are lots of challenges. As the business is growing, expectations are increasing for almost all roles, if you don't keep up with the fast pace and the changes, this could be a tough place to be at.

Change the world & change your career

Pros

1) Incredible opportunity to develop professionally. Working with such passionate and talented teams you will learn and deliver more than you dream you are capable of. 2) Mission and values-driven. Rocking it out for dogs and their owners every day. That's our north star. And you get to bring your whole self to work. 3) Incredible product and service. You can be so proud of what you are part of. Check out the Trustpilot reviews and feel the vibes when you step into our office. That's what happy, committed people can do!

Cons

1) Not for the faint-hearted. Be ready to work. You want to change the world, right? 2) If you actively dislike dogs, our office full of pups might not be for you. 3) If you're heavily into EC1 the leafy parks and river walks of our Richmond HQ won't be for you.
