Pros

An incredible group of very smart people disrupting an entire industry with an incomparable product set.

Cons

Talkdesk is in start up mode where you don't always have all the information needed but you still must make decisions and execute.

Pros

Working at Talkdesk has been an incredible experience. The team is great and the product is very interesting. The managers are flexible and helpful and care about your professional development and your success in the company. The upper management team is brilliant, they come with great backgrounds and are what really sets Talkdesk apart from other companies I've worked for. Talkdesk is still fairly small so there is a lot of room for professional growth and a huge promotion opportunity. I have done by far the most meaningful work of my career here.

Cons

Because Talkdesk is growing rapidly there is a lot of change in management structure. This change means that new managers have their own way of doing things so you may sometimes have to change a routine you're used to in order to satisfy management. That being said, rapid growth leading to a slight change in my daily routine isn't the worst thing that could happen.

The startup to be in Portugal

Pros

Thriving startup in full blown growth. Lots of technology challenges ahead -- great place to be if you want to challenge yourself. Great engineering culture. Some really talented engineers. Awesome Lisbon and San Francisco offices. Although not perfect, Talkdesk is still in a phase of it's growth where you feel you can make a difference.

Cons

Engineering has grown a lot in the past few months, and some other areas of the company are struggling to keep up. Hopefully this will be sorted out shortly, I guess these are the pains of a hyper growth startup. Careers are not yet clearly defined. Some lack of leadership in the Portuguese branch.
