Pros

Talkdesk is always hiring, tenure at a position is probably about 6 months, so if your dream job -- in sales, marketing, engineering, customer success-- is already taken as of now, check back in 3-6 months and you'll find an open req. for that exact job.. ;-)

Cons

Very high turnover. they will hire very cheap, even from out of town. I know some people who uprooted their entire family to San Francisco with a promise of a great career...these people sold their house, had their kids change schools etc., and 6-9 months later they were pushed out. they pay you very cheap (below market rate), manage you by fear, make you overwork, and spit you out before even your year anniversary (so don't think you'll exercise these options). No leadership skills from the management team. unless you're really desperate, I would not advise anyone to take a job there. They bullied the female co-founder who built the product and made this company possible out. That should tell you everything you need to know about this company.

Think Twice Before Working Here

Pros

- easy interview process - some great people to work with - flexibility to work remote

Cons

Alright where do I begin.. First off, I hardly ever write reviews here because for the most part work experience is so subjective and there's so many different factors that I don't want to misrepresent the company, however in this case it is just all around toxic and needed to share. The leadership team has created such a toxic environment where people are constantly on the defensive and under pressure. I've seen employees mistreated to the point where people have cried on calls. The CMO starts calls with meditations and the amount of praise people get is so superficial that you get a cult like culture. This praise does not come with promotions or a raise, instead it comes with more work and more responsibilities. Work life balance is out the window, people email you at 1am and over the weekend asking for things, the CMO does this herself and I assume rubs off on the leadership team which is why they do it - and although they acknowledge that this is an issue it continues to happen. The CEO is arrogant and global all hands calls are super awkward with a fake optimism and awkward moments where they place blame on sales for low numbers and praises marketing. Be careful with the reviews you read on here, with them trying to grow the sales org in Canada there are a lot of one-liner reviews so that they boost their rating, I'd be skeptical of those. I would think twice before you invest your time and career in a company like this. Yes there is hyper growth, and they try to represent that as a good thing - which yes growth is good, but the problem is that they do not address the culture and how poorly they treat employees because of this growth. They use 'growth' as an excuse to mistreat and take advantage of employees, reiterating how replaceable people are. It seems a lot of people in leadership positions are under-qualified and this results in them micromanaging people because there are trying to hang on to their titles (or get promoted). If you are considering working here, please try to reach out to past employees or really do your research before you come to a place like this. It's great to be part of a growing company, but this growth benefits the leadership team only, which is why it's such a toxic place to work at.

One hot mess

Pros

Good technology focusing on customer support with clean integrations including Salesforce and Zendesk. Strong roadmap and good quality developers. Currently a good industry to be in however it is getting quickly crowded

Cons

Company has made massive mistakes with a revolving door of quality folks leaving. Company is blinded by its position to take on additional funding and it is killing the company. Comp plans being changed midyear, several managers and VPs over the last 12 months and shady attempts to not pay reps their earned $'s. Not to mention a decimated marketing team. Huge ego with COO claiming to be a hot shot but really has no clue on what makes a culture successful.
